Geoff was hired with the San Jose Police Department in February 1997.  Geoff began working as a patrol officer on the midnight shift in the east side of San Jose where he quickly gained knowledge and experience of the job. Early in his career Geoff was involved in a vehicle pursuit that ended in a shootout with the suspect.

Geoff was accepted to the Special Operations METRO unit in August of 2001. After the 9/11 tragedy, Geoff was trained in terrorism and homeland protection by several federal and local Law Enforcement agencies. During his time in METRO he was involved with several manhunts of cop killers, serial killers, and serial rapists. In March 2003, Geoff became a team leader in the unit. He led operations that included the purchase of guns, narcotics, prostitutes, dignitary protection (Rudy Giuliani), and the arrest of several high ranking outlaw bikers. In May 2003, Geoff and his partner where involved with attempting to apprehend a suspect who was a known gang member, wanted for murder, attempted murder of a police officer, resisting arrest, and assault with a deadly weapon. The apprehension ended in a shootout with the suspect.

In September 2003, Geoff was accepted to the MERGE (SWAT) team. Geoff was the first second generation MERGE officer in the history of the department. Geoff was assigned to the 8200 team as an entry team member.  During his time in MERGE he was involved with numerous high-risk search warrant entries, hostage barricades, and apprehension of high-risk criminals (armed and dangerous). Several of the incidents involved the suspects shooting at the team. The team was also tasked with the training of other special operations teams both military and police.

During Geoff’s time in the MERGE unit he competed in the “Best in the West” SWAT competition. The team consisted of the best 6 out of 36 officers the unit had to offer. That year the team took 2nd place out of 50+ SWAT teams through out the country, and was invited to the national competition.

Through out his career Geoff has competed in the California Police and Fire Games where he medaled several times in the Triathlon and the Toughest Competitor Alive (TCA).

Geoff is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has advised and portrayed both police and military in film and television as a actor, featured, and special tactical abilities background; Delta Farce, Race to Witch Mountain, Medium, Crossing Jordon, as well as several other studio and independent projects.
